WALK 100: Blakeney National Nature Reserve

I asked my instagram followers to choose my hundredth walk (check out my instagram for daily content) they asked for a dog friendly coastal nature reserve, accessible by car, and a day of discoveries, I hope I have delivered....

Blakeney Nature Reserve is owned by the National Trust and is an Area of Outstanding Beauty! It provides beautiful views of the Norfolk coastline aswell as being the perfect place for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers! You can get a ferry to Blakeney Point from Morston Quay to see the seals too.

If you tend to be someone who gets lost do what Dorothy did and “follow the yellow brick road”. There are lots of opportunities to venture off if you would like to! There are a ridiculous amount of walks to choose from, we chose to follow the yellow path along the coast to Cley and then road walked back to Blakeney.

On our way back we stopped off at Wiveton Farm and Cafe for a toilet break and a snack. Wiveton Hall also has beautiful gardens for you to explore (which I will be doing on another day)

There are a choice of two car parks, one at Morston Quay and one at Blakeney Quay (we chose the latter). At the car park there are a couple of food stalls m, as well as Samantha Rose who specialises in all things arts and crafts.

Parking is free for National Trust members, and £6 for non- members. There are toilets at either car park.

Due to the ridiculous amount of photographs and exploring I achieved today I will be doing a separate post on the village of Blakeney itself over the next few days.
