Walk 94: Lakenham Way

Today I decided to explore Lakenham way, a disused railway line (built in 1849) from Queens Road Sainsbury’s to Sandy Lane. I had to go to Asda, so I started it on Sandy Lane.

This is the perfect place for runners, cyclists and people wanting an alternative walk to and from Norwich City Centre.

There is a ridiculous amount of wildlife, particularly birds, it was lovely to hear a variety of birds singing. You will come across a range of bridges from different time periods, providing the perfect juxtaposition of urban and the natural world.
