Full of history inside and out, the grounds are exceptional, linking onto Holkham beach and nature reserve, which I will explore another day. The hall itself is still very much a family home and has been that way since the 1750s. You can explore the estate and hall as you wish, there is a deer park as well as a cafe and gift shop. They are also selling locally grown Christmas trees! Today I did a short walk around the grounds to the ice box which we described as sort of a hobbit house.
There is a £4 parking fee and that’s it, you are then able to explore as you’d like.
Today I visited Holkham halls Christmas market!
