Today’s walk didn’t exactly go to plan, but it ended up being a perfect adventure! I parked in the village of Saxlingham Nethergate, and followed a public footpath and explored fields and woodland. I tried to make it circular, and returned back this time passing through St Mary’s Parish Church and the village.
Saxlingham Nethergate is a Norfolk civil parish, there are a lot of beautiful thatched houses within the village. St Mary’s Parish Church was restored in 1867, it has combination of Anglo Saxon and Viking elements with beautiful stain glass windows.
