Walk 1: Plantation Gardens

Plantation Gardens is perfectly hidden next to Earlham Road

Work Began on the gardens in 1856 by Henry Trevor. There is 3 acres of garden to explore, plenty of hidden areas for hide and seek, and grass area and benches for picnics. In order to keep Plantation Gardens running, they ask for a £2 donation on arrival, which is definitely worth it. You can also apply for a pass that gives you access to the gardens for free. During the summer (when not in lockdown),  it has a BBQ and open air cinema, last year I saw Bohemian Rhapsody. Plantation Gardens host an amazing firework display around bonfire night.

If you are ever walking down Earlham road, on your way home from the city centre or up to the university, I would recommend taking some time to visit Plantation Gardens.

A beautiful place to sit listen reflect and watch the landscape change with the seasons. It is one of my favourite places to visit.

There is a pay and display car park located next to the entrance.

Toilets on site.
